The name pays some homage to the site’s former use as the long time home to The City Club of Lansing. It also reflects a bit of the exclusivity of the tower as a residence. There will be a limited number of upscale condominium homes built in the Capitol Club Tower, therefore only a select few will have the privilege of living there.
The Capitol Club Tower site is located at 225 South Grand Avenue, on the Grand River in Downtown Lansing, Michigan. It is in the heart of the Capitol City and only 2 1/2 short blocks to the State of Michigan Capitol Building.
The Capitol Club Tower will be 220 feet from the street to the top of the roof and 290 feet to the top of the spire. There will be 13 total floors. The first 2 levels will be retail, restaurant and health sohos. There will be 11 residential levels spread between the Soho, Metro-Loft, Trellis and Sky-Terrace sections.
The building is comprised of two somewhat distinct sections. The first 5 residential floors comprise the Soho, Metro-Loft, and Trellis levels.
The Sky-Terrace Levels comprise the upper nine floors. Although the cross-section of the building is narrower on the metros, the condo units may be much larger. The Penthouse Level will be 2-story homes.
For those needing more space, owners may purchase two or more contiguous units and combine them together.
Final pricing has not yet been set, however we can say that you’ll find our condos to be surprisingly affordable.
Every condo owner will have designated parking in the attached parking structure adjacent to the site of the building. The parking structure will be remodeled to match the Capitol Club Tower and will be adjoined with a walkway to the residential tower building.
Residents of the Renaissance Zone will be exempt from almost all state and local personal and property taxes. This is a significant tax incentive that will be attractive to condo buyers from all income levels.
Pets add to the character of city living. Common house pets will be allowed to live in the Capitol Club Tower. There will be some rules and restricted areas.
The Capitol Club Tower will feature a state-of-the-art fitness center, swimming pool, hot tubs, and men’s and women’s locker area for its residents.
Several lifestyle type businesses will be invited to the Capitol Club Tower. In addition to the Health and Fitness Center, the commercial space will be anchored by an upscale full service restaurant. A convenience market, coffee shop, and laundry drop off are also planned. Other possibilities include a jeweler, a clothing boutique and beauty salon.
The Capitol Club Tower is currently accepting Preliminary Reservations for future sales. A small, completely refundable deposit of $1,000 is all that is required to hold a purchasers place in line. Current Depositors are invited to attend receptions and other events to learn more about their new home and influence the final details of the Capitol Club Tower design. During the summer of 2008 Depositors will able to reserve their actual condo unit and enter into a purchase agreement. The order of unit selection will be determined by the order of Depositor’s Preliminary Reservation.
